Common questions

Can the Adviceline speed up my application?

Only in genuine urgent cases: medical treatment abroad, a family emergency, or government business. Otherwise use the 1 week Fast Track or Online Premium services, booked online.

What does the call cost?

0300 222 0000 is standard rate, the same as calling a landline, and inside inclusive minutes on most plans.

How do I track my passport application?

The track-your-application service on gov.uk shows progress without phoning. The Adviceline sees the same tracking information.
