Every driving line in one place: the DVLA's 3 numbers for vehicles, licences and medical conditions, the DVSA for tests and MOTs, and the DVA for Northern Ireland. Most DVLA queues are avoidable, since taxing a car, renewing a licence and checking an MOT history are all faster on gov.uk. Phone when something has gone wrong: a lost V5C, a medical decision, a test that will not book. DVLA lines run to 7pm on weekdays and Saturday mornings, which is longer than almost any other government helpline.
