Common questions
Can I phone HSE for health and safety advice?
No. HSE publishes guidance at hse.gov.uk and takes concerns through its online form, but does not run a phone advice service.
My concern is about a shop, restaurant or care home. Is HSE the right place?
No. Those workplaces are enforced by your local council's environmental health team, so raise it with the council.
