Is the consumer helpline really free?
Yes. 0808 numbers are free from UK mobiles and landlines, and the advice costs nothing. Citizens Advice says calls take 8 to 10 minutes on average.
Will they take up my case with the company?
The helpline advises you on your rights and next steps, and passes details to Trading Standards where enforcement is needed. It does not act as your representative.
