Can I pay VAT on this number?
No. The line cannot take payments or agree time to pay. Payments happen online or through your bank; for time to pay, HMRC has a separate Payment Support Service.
Is the VAT line free?
It is a standard-rate 0300 number, the same cost as a landline call and included in most call plans.
